Bambu Lab PLA Marble Red Granite – filament with a red granite appearance

Bambu Lab PLA Marble Red Granite is a special PLA filament that faithfully mimics the structure and color of natural stone. Thanks to inorganic particles in the material, it creates a surface with a red granite effect, so prints look like real stone objects – without the need for demanding post-processing.

This filament is ideal for decorations, figures, busts, architectural models, props, sculptures, and interior accessories where a natural, luxury look is required.

  • Realistic red granite appearance The admixture of fine particles creates an authentic "marbled"/granite effect. The result looks like real stone, not classic plastic.
  • Easy to print like regular PLA Despite its special appearance, the filament behaves similarly to high-quality PLA – it adheres well to the bed, has minimal deformation, and is suitable even for less experienced users.
  • Supplied on a reusable Bambu Lab spool Bambu Lab PLA Marble Red Granite filament comes including a basic reusable spool, which reduces plastic waste and facilitates handling.
  • Full compatibility with AMS / AMS Lite The spool is equipped with an RFID chip, which automatically loads the material profile in Bambu Lab printers. Just insert, select the filament, and print – without complicated setup.
  • Universal use on FDM printers The filament can be printed not only on Bambu Lab printers but also on most common FDM/FFF printers with a standard 0.4–0.8 mm nozzle and a filament diameter of 1.75 mm.

Printing recommendations

To achieve stable and high-quality printing, we recommend:

  • Nozzle temperature: 190–230 °C
  • Bed temperature (with glue): 35–45 °C
  • Printing speed: up to approx. 250 mm/s
  • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm ± 0.03 mm
  • Recommended nozzles: 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm, ideally hardened steel or stainless steel

Due to the presence of particles creating the marble effect, the filament is not suitable for a 0.2mm nozzle, where clogging may occur. For Bambu Lab printers, it is therefore recommended to use this filament with at least a 0.4mm nozzle.


Compatibility

  • Printers: all common FDM/FFF printers for 1.75 mm filament
  • Bambu Lab printers: full compatibility, including AMS/AMS Lite
  • Plates: Cool Plate (with glue), Smooth PEI Plate, Textured PEI Plate

Thanks to the integrated RFID chip, the Bambu Lab AMS can automatically recognize the type of material and apply the recommended printing parameters.


Storage and material maintenance

As with other PLA filaments, it is advisable to:

  • keep the filament dry, ideally in a sealable box or bag with desiccant,
  • in case of long-term storage, perform drying (recommended approx. 55 °C for 8 hours),
  • protect from direct sunlight and high humidity.

This minimizes the risk of cracking, poor adhesion, or surface defects caused by moisture in the material.
