Bambu Lab PLA Basic Cobalt Blue 1 kg – Refill is a high-quality PLA filament in an intense cobalt blue color, wound on a cardboard core without a plastic spool. It is designed for use with the Bambu Lab reusable spool system and is fully compatible with Bambu printers (P1P, P1S, X1, X1C, A1, A1 mini) as well as other FDM printers using PLA.

PLA Basic is designed as a universal material for everyday printing – it has excellent interlayer adhesion, low shrinkage, and minimal deformation. This makes it suitable for beginners and advanced users alike, allowing for fast and reliable printing of models, toys, decorations, prototypes, and technical parts without the need for complex parameter tuning.

PLA Basic is not suitable for parts exposed to high temperatures (e.g., in a car in the sun) or long-term mechanical stress – for such applications, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, etc., are more suitable.


Print Settings (approximate)

These parameters are based on Bambu Lab recommendations for PLA Basic filament. Depending on the printer and cooling, fine-tuning may be necessary.

  • Nozzle temperature: approx. 190–220 °C
  • Bed temperature: approx. 35–60 °C (typically ~50 °C for PLA on Bambu printers)
  • Print speed: commonly 50–200 mm/s (Bambu profiles allow for very fast printing due to optimized acceleration values)
  • Cooling: high, 80–100% after the first layers
  • Retraction: according to printer profile (pre-set in official Bambu profiles)

For the easiest use, it is recommended to use the official "Bambu PLA Basic" profiles in Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer / PrusaSlicer, or adapt an existing PLA profile on other printers.
