Product description
Product Description
Bambu Lab PETG Basic Flesh is a high-quality PETG filament developed directly by Bambu Lab for reliable and easy printing of durable functional and design parts. The Flesh (darker beige / skin color) shade is ideal for printing characters, figurines, anatomical models, holders, or decorations where a natural "skin-tone" color is desired.
The improved Bambu PETG Basic formula minimizes typical problems of classic PETG – reducing stringing, oozing, and clumping, so you achieve cleaner surfaces and more stable quality without complex parameter tuning.
Main Advantages
- Versatile PETG filament – combining printing simplicity close to PLA with higher toughness and temperature resistance.
- Flesh / Dark Beige color – suitable for figurines, cosplay, anatomical models, handles, grips, and accessories in a flesh tone.
- Improved printing formulation – significantly less stringing and oozing, smoother surfaces, and more reliable layering.
- High impact resistance and toughness – suitable for functional parts and components exposed to mechanical stress.
- Good resistance to water, UV, and weathering – also suitable for outdoor use and parts in demanding environments.
- Excellent layer adhesion – reduces the risk of delamination in mechanically stressed parts.
- Compatible with Bambu Lab AMS – the filament on the original Bambu spool is equipped with an RFID chip, which Bambu printers automatically recognize (material, color, profile).
- Standard 1.75 mm diameter and 1 kg spool – usable in other FDM printers that support PETG and 1.75 mm diameter.
Recommended Use
- Functional and structural parts, holders, mounts, covers
- Models and parts for outdoor environments (garden elements, housings, camera mounts, signs)
- Figurines, cosplay, decorations in skin tones
- Protective covers, templates, assembly fixtures
- Home and workshop tools requiring higher durability and toughness
Printing Recommendations
The values below serve as a starting point; it is always advisable to fine-tune them according to the specific printer and model:
- Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 230–260 °C (typically around 240–250 °C)
- Bed temperature: approx. 65–75 °C
- Max. recommended print speed: up to 200 mm/s
- Recommended chamber: 35–50 °C (for enclosed printers)
- Drying before printing: approx. 65 °C for 8 hours (dryer / oven with ventilation)
For better bed adhesion, it is recommended to use a glue stick or suitable adhesive for PETG and print on a high-quality surface (e.g., PEI).

Who is Bambu Lab PETG Basic Flesh suitable for?
- Beginners who have mastered PLA and want to move to a more durable material, but do not want overly complex PETG tuning.
- Advanced users looking for reliable branded PETG for everyday functional prints.
- Owners of Bambu Lab printers (P1, X1, A1, P2, etc.), especially with AMS/AMS 2 Pro, who want automatic material and color detection.
- Users of other FDM printers with a nozzle/min. temperature suitable for PETG.
Storage
PETG is partially hygroscopic, therefore we recommend:
- Store filament dry, ideally in a sealable box with silica gel desiccant.
- In case of long-term storage outside the package, dry the spool as needed before printing.
Correct storage ensures a better surface, less stringing, and more stable mechanical properties of the prints.
Key Features:
- Improved PETG filament with significantly reduced stringing and oozing
- Flesh / Dark Beige shade ideal for figurines, cosplay, and skin-colored models
- Combines easy printing like PLA with higher toughness and thermal resistance of PETG
- Suitable for functional parts, stressed components, and outdoor use
- Excellent layer adhesion and high impact resistance
- Original Bambu Lab spool with RFID chip – automatic detection on Bambu Lab printers with AMS
- Standard 1.75 mm diameter and 1 kg winding – usable on most other FDM printers
- Stable quality and dimensional accuracy ±0.03 mm for reliable printing
