Product description
Product Description
Bambu Lab PA6-GF Orange is a professional nylon (PA6) filament reinforced with glass fibers, intended for structural and industrial applications where high strength, stiffness, thermal and chemical resistance are key. It combines the properties of technical nylon with glass fiber reinforcement, achieving parameters that significantly exceed common hobby materials (PLA, PETG, common nylon).
The distinctive orange color is suitable for safety elements, machine covers, functional parts in operations where good visibility of components is required.
\nThis filament is especially intended for Bambu Lab X1 / X1C / P1P / P1S printers with a closed chamber and a durable nozzle (hardened steel).
Main Advantages and Applications
- Excellent Strength and Stiffness\nGlass fiber reinforced PA6 provides high tensile and flexural strength and very good fatigue resistance – ideal for functional, mechanically stressed parts.
- High Temperature Resistance\nThe material retains its shape and strength even at high temperatures – heat deflection temperature (HDT) approx. 182 °C, Vicat ~210 °C. Suitable for parts near motors, gears or heating elements.
- Dimensional Stability\nUnlike pure nylon, PA6-GF deforms less and has better dimensional stability, which is important for precise machine and assembly components.
- Chemical Resistance\nGlass fiber reinforced nylon shows very good resistance to many lubricants, oils and industrial chemicals – suitable for parts in technical and automotive environments.
- Smooth Surface and Professional Appearance\nDespite the glass fiber content, the material maintains a relatively smooth, semi-matte surface that looks professional and is also suitable for final parts.
- Visible Orange Color\nIdeal for safety elements, covers, holders, signaling and service parts that must be easily recognizable.
Recommended Use
- Functional and structural components
- Jigs, clamps, fixtures for assembly and production (jigs & fixtures)
- Covers and holders in industrial environments
- Mechanically stressed parts, gear elements, brackets, levers
- Component parts in automotive, machine and equipment manufacturing
- Safety and service parts in orange color (warning and control elements)
Printing Recommendations
\nA closed printer and correctly selected print bed surface are required.
- Filament diameter: 1,75 mm
- Recommended nozzle: durable, hardened steel 0,4 / 0,6 / 0,8 mm
- Nozzle temperature: approx. 260–290 °C
- Bed temperature (with glue): approx. 80–100 °C
- Print speed: up to approx. 130 mm/s
- Drying required: before printing 80 °C for 8–12 h (nylon is highly hygroscopic)
- Storage/printing humidity: recommended < 20 % RH, store in a closed box with silica gel.
Compatibility
- Recommended printers: Bambu Lab X1 / X1 Carbon / P1P / P1S (and other closed FDM printers capable of reaching the specified temperatures).
- AMS: compatible with Bambu Lab AMS, incompatible with AMS lite.
- Print beds: suitable Smooth PEI, Textured PEI using Bambu Glue Stick or similar adhesive. Printing on "Cool Plate SuperTack" is not recommended.
\nWarning: It is not suitable to use 0,2 mm nozzles or stainless steel nozzles – glass fibers abrade the nozzle very quickly, so always use hardened steel.
